World Book Day

World Book Day

Thursday the 7th March was world book day and what a day it was! We had witches and wizards, princes and princesses, fairies and monsters and two terrifying Miss Trunchbull's! It was a fantastic day full of reading to friends and reading based learning. Thank you to all the children for dressing up and the parents and carers who helped with the costumes.

Welcome back

Welcome Back

Welcome back to Darite Academy. All the staff hope that you had a relaxing break and managed to enjoy some of the amazing weather.

It is only the first day back and already there has been some amazing learning going on: The artist Sean Hewitt has been working with Class 3 on an art project inspired by Miro. The children have been designing patterns after they developed their own artistic language! Class 1 have loved their Countryfile day and have been thinking hard about what they would like to learn. Class 2 have been finding out about Mr Whipps and some of the things he likes!

What a busy day!
